Healthcare stocks edge higher

Healthcare stocks were trading in green, with the S&P BSE Healthcare index increasing 56.18 points or 0.42% at 13377.29 at 09:47 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE Healthcare index, Kilitch Drugs (India) Ltd (up 8.65%), Dishman Carbogen Amcis Ltd (up 5.98%),Narayana Hrudayalaya Ltd (up 4.47%),Ipca Laboratories Ltd (up 4.32%),Hester Biosciences Ltd (up 2.8%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were Dr Lal Pathlabs Ltd (up 2.61%), Ajanta Pharma Ltd (up 2.4%), Shalby Ltd (up 2.1%), IOL Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Ltd (up 1.9%), and Bliss GVS Pharma Ltd (up 1.88%).

On the other hand, Caplin Point Laboratories Ltd (down 2.81%), RPG Life Sciences Ltd (down 2.64%), and Unichem Laboratories Ltd (down 1.62%) turned lower.

 

At 09:47 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 39.77 or 0.1% at 40341.73.

The Nifty 50 index was up 4.3 points or 0.04% at 11945.6.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 28.09 points or 0.21% at 13658.75.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 13.87 points or 0.3% at 4704.48.

On BSE,870 shares were trading in green, 613 were trading in red and 69 were unchanged.
