JSW Energy provides update on proposed acquisitions

JSW Energy announced that the Company has agreed to:

(A) acquire the 500 MW (2X250 MW) thermal power plant located at Bina, District Sagar in the State of Madhya Pradesh from Jaiprakash Power Ventures.

(B) consider acquisition of 100% equity in Minerals & Energy Swaziland.
