Power shares gain

Power stocks were trading in the positive zone, with the S&P BSE Power index rising 8.9 points or 0.49% at 1818.75 at 09:52 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE Power index, NTPC Ltd (up 1.73%), NHPC Ltd (up 1.16%), Tata Power Company Ltd (up 1.16%), Siemens Ltd (up 0.7%), Torrent Power Ltd (up 0.42%), and Kalpataru Power Transmission Ltd (up 0.03%), were the top gainers.

On the other hand, Adani Transmission Ltd (down 2.08%), K E C International Ltd (down 1.49%), and Thermax Ltd (down 0.54%) moved lower.

At 09:52 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 29.96 or 0.07% at 40333.27.

 

The Nifty 50 index was down 6.05 points or 0.05% at 11823.35.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was down 36.07 points or 0.25% at 14477.08.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was down 11.87 points or 0.24% at 4995.02.

On BSE,763 shares were trading in green, 695 were trading in red and 82 were unchanged.
