Prabhat Dairy drops after bulk deal

Prabhat Dairy lost 2.7% to Rs 147.50 at 13:45 IST on BSE after a bulk deal of 4.15 lakh shares was executed on the scrip at Rs 156.80 per share at 10:48 IST on BSE today, 8 December 2015.

Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex was down 116.22 points, or 0.43%, to 25,420.05

On BSE, so far 4.81 lakh shares were traded in the counter, compared with an average volume of 91,000 shares in the past two weeks.

The stock hit a high of Rs 159.90 and a low of Rs 147.50 so far during the day. The stock hit a record high of Rs 167.50 on 24 November 2015. The stock hit a record low of Rs 99.55 on 29 September 2015.

 

The small-cap company has an equity capital of Rs 97.68 crore. Face value per share is Rs 10.

On consolidated basis, Prabhat Dairy's net profit fell 32.3% to Rs 5.65 crore on 20.9% growth in net sales to Rs 288.62 crore in Q2 September 2015 over Q2 September 2014.

Prabhat Dairy is an integrated milk and dairy products company in India, catering to institutional as well as retail customers. The company produces and sells a range of pasteurized milk and other dairy products to retail customers under the Prabhat, Flava and Milk Magic brands.
