Quick Wrap: Nifty FMCG Index gains 2.36%

Nifty FMCG index ended up 2.36% at 29935.5 today. The index has gained 7.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Dabur India Ltd rose 4.55%, Colgate-Palmolive (India) Ltd gained 4.45% and Hindustan Unilever Ltd added 4.11%. The Nifty FMCG index has soared 15.00% over last one year compared to the 2.30% increase in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Consumption index gained 1.90% and Nifty Bank index added 1.41% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 added 0.97% to close at 10628.6 while the SENSEX increased 1.07% to close at 35354.08 today.
