Quick Wrap: Nifty IT Index declines 3.51%, NIFTY Tumbles 2.57%

Nifty IT index ended down 3.51% at 13293.75 today. The index is up 5.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Mindtree Ltd slipped 5.62%, Tech Mahindra Ltd fell 5.33% and NIIT Technologies Ltd dropped 5.20%. The Nifty IT index is down 16.00% over last one year compared to the 18.05% decline in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Financial Services index is down 3.35% and Nifty Energy index has slid 3.30% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 has declined 2.57% to close at 9142.75 while the SENSEX is down 2.77% to close at 31122.89 today.
