Quick Wrap: Nifty Media Index falls 1.82%

Nifty Media index ended down 1.82% at 1137.35 today. The index has gained 5.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Inox Leisure Ltd shed 3.98%, PVR Ltd fell 3.87% and Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd slipped 3.21%. The Nifty Media index has fallen 46.00% over last one year compared to the 18.83% slide in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty PSU Bank index has dropped 1.64% and Nifty Metal index gained 1.61% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 has dropped 0.06% to close at 9136.85 while the SENSEX has dropped 0.08% to close at 31097.73 today.
