Quick Wrap: Nifty Media Index registers a drop of 1.89%

Nifty Media index closed down 1.89% at 2604.8 today. The index has lost 9.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Den Networks Ltd dropped 3.67%, Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd shed 2.96% and Dish TV India Ltd fell 2.58%. The Nifty Media index has decreased 18.00% over last one year compared to the 10.71% spike in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty FMCG index has slid 1.31% and Nifty Realty index has dropped 1.23% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 has dropped 0.39% to close at 11234.35 while the SENSEX has slid 0.45% to close at 37121.22 today.
