Quick Wrap: Nifty Pharma Index falls 2.18%

Nifty Pharma index ended down 2.18% at 7938.45 today. The index has slipped 4.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Piramal Enterprises Ltd shed 4.76%, Biocon Ltd slipped 3.31% and Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd dropped 2.92%. The Nifty Pharma index has fallen 10.00% over last one year compared to the 8.44% increase in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Energy index has dropped 1.17% and Nifty Realty index added 0.93% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 is down 0.27% to close at 11797.9 while the SENSEX has dropped 0.20% to close at 40281.2 today.
