Quick Wrap: Nifty Pharma Index rises 2.02%

Nifty Pharma index closed up 2.02% at 8072.05 today. The index is up 1.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Sun Pharmaceuticals Industries Ltd gained 3.62%, Biocon Ltd rose 3.36% and Cadila Healthcare Ltd added 2.48%. The Nifty Pharma index is down 20.00% over last one year compared to the 5.60% decline in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty FMCG index added 1.76% and Nifty Metal index gained 1.58% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 increased 0.68% to close at 11023.25 while the SENSEX added 0.71% to close at 37332.79 today.
