Quick Wrap: Nifty Private Bank Index falls 1.36%

Nifty Private Bank index ended down 1.36% at 17083 today. The index has slipped 4.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Yes Bank Ltd added 5.68%, IndusInd Bank Ltd fell 3.65% and City Union Bank Ltd dropped 2.33%. The Nifty Private Bank index has soared 12.00% over last one year compared to the 12.79% increase in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Pharma index gained 0.85% and Nifty Bank index has slid 0.83% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 has declined 0.22% to close at 12174.65 while the SENSEX has dropped 0.26% to close at 41459.79 today.
