Quick Wrap: Nifty PSU Bank Index declines 1.46%

Nifty PSU Bank index ended down 1.46% at 2495.6 today. The index is down 3.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Syndicate Bank slipped 9.06%, Union Bank of India fell 6.68% and Allahabad Bank dropped 5.08%. The Nifty PSU Bank index is down 19.00% over last one year compared to the 13.02% surge in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Infrastructure index is down 1.04% and Nifty Energy index has slid 0.98% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 has declined 0.72% to close at 12126.55 while the SENSEX is down 0.72% to close at 41163.76 today.
