Quick Wrap: Nifty PSU Bank Index declines 3.10%

Nifty PSU Bank index ended down 3.10% at 1635.95 today. The index is down 29.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Canara Bank slipped 4.11%, Indian Bank fell 3.98% and Bank of Baroda dropped 3.97%. The Nifty PSU Bank index is down 45.00% over last one year compared to the 7.46% decline in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Media index added 2.01% and Nifty Realty index has slid 1.83% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 witnessed a rise of 0.07% to close at 10458.4 while the SENSEX added 0.18% to close at 35697.4 today.
