Quick Wrap: Nifty PSU Bank Index records a surge of 2.92%

Nifty PSU Bank index ended up 2.92% at 2568.45 today. The index has lost 2.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Allahabad Bank jumped 8.17%, Bank of Baroda gained 5.25% and Syndicate Bank rose 5.08%. The Nifty PSU Bank index has decreased 16.00% over last one year compared to the 13.60% spike in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Realty index increased 1.61% and Nifty PSE index added 1.58% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 added 0.98% to close at 12245.8 while the SENSEX witnessed a rise of 1.00% to close at 41575.14 today.
