Quick Wrap: Nifty PSU Bank Index rises 2.07%

Nifty PSU Bank index closed up 2.07% at 2307.95 today. The index is down 11.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Indian Bank gained 13.14%, Bank of India added 3.03% and Oriental Bank of Commerce jumped 2.58%. The Nifty PSU Bank index is down 12.00% over last one year compared to the 14.36% surge in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Auto index added 1.26% and Nifty Media index is down 1.25% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 recorded a gain of 0.14% to close at 11604.1 while the SENSEX added 0.24% to close at 39058.83 today.
