Quick Wrap: Nifty Realty Index rises 1.93%

Nifty Realty index closed up 1.93% at 298.05 today. The index is up 5.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Godrej Properties Ltd added 4.89%, Brigade Enterprises Ltd rose 3.31% and Indiabulls Real Estate Ltd gained 3.01%. The Nifty Realty index is up 25.00% over last one year compared to the 11.89% surge in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Media index added 1.04% and Nifty Commodities index gained 0.90% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 increased 0.50% to close at 12052.95 while the SENSEX recorded a gain of 0.47% to close at 40869.47 today.
