Rural Electrification Corporation standalone net profit rises 13.72% in the March 2017 quarter

Sales decline 4.95% to Rs 5717.39 crore

Net profit of Rural Electrification Corporation rose 13.72% to Rs 1319.23 crore in the quarter ended March 2017 as against Rs 1160.03 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2016. Sales declined 4.95% to Rs 5717.39 crore in the quarter ended March 2017 as against Rs 6015.38 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2016.

For the full year,net profit rose 10.98% to Rs 6245.76 crore in the year ended March 2017 as against Rs 5627.66 crore during the previous year ended March 2016. Sales declined 2.28% to Rs 22935.61 crore in the year ended March 2017 as against Rs 23470.66 crore during the previous year ended March 2016.
