Tata Steel Ltd lost 0.69% today to trade at Rs 422. The S&P BSE Metal index is down 0.16% to quote at 8966.89. The index is up 17.54 % over last one month. Among the other constituents of the index, JSW Steel Ltd decreased 0.58% and Vedanta Ltd lost 0.55% on the day. The S&P BSE Metal index went up 0.7 % over last one year compared to the 2.3% surge in benchmark SENSEX.
Tata Steel Ltd has added 20.26% over last one month compared to 17.54% gain in S&P BSE Metal index and 3.36% rise in the SENSEX. On the BSE, 87375 shares were traded in the counter so far compared with average daily volumes of 8.03 lakh shares in the past one month. The stock hit a record high of Rs 505.95 on 14 Jan 2020. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 250.9 on 30 Mar 2020.
