Nifty May futures at premium
The Nifty May 2018 futures traded at 10699.80, a premium of 20.15 points compared with the Nifty's spot closing of 10679.65 in the cash market.
Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures & options (F&O) segment surged to Rs 11.81 lakh crore, compared with the turnover of Rs 6.80 lakh crore registered in the previous session.
In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index fell 38.40 points or 0.36% to settle at 10,679.65.
InterGlobe Aviation, MindTree, Jet Airways (India), Dewan Housing Finance Corporation and Yes Bank were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE. InterGlobe Aviation May 2018 futures traded at 1207.90, at a premium over spot closing price of 1200.05. MindTree May 2018 futures traded at 1033.55, at a premium over spot closing of 1027.10.
Jet Airways (India) May 2018 futures traded at 523, at a premium over spot closing of 520. Dewan Housing Finance Corporation May 2018 futures traded at 634, at a premium over spot closing of 631.15. Yes Bank May 2018 futures traded at 356, at a premium over spot closing of 353.45.
The May 2018 F&O contracts expire on 31 May 2018.
