Amravati Express delayed as engine catches fire

An engine of the Amravati Express caught fire near a Goa railway station on Sunday, delaying the train for nearly two hours, a railway spokesperson said. No one was injured in the accident.
The incident occurred near Cansaulim railway station, shortly after the Howrah-bound 18048 Amravati left Vasco da Gama railway station in south Goa. A fire engine was summoned to douse the fire, the South Western Railway spokesperson said.
"There was a delay of two hours during which the engine which caught fire was replaced by another," the spokesperson added.
