Armyman commits suicide in Jammu

An armyman Friday committed suicide in Jammu and Kashmir by shooting himself with his service rifle.

Gunner (operator) S.N. Vasant deployed in Akhnoor area of Jammu district shot himself with his service rifle, a defence spokesman told IANS here.

He was a resident of Ratnagiri in Maharashtra and was unmarried, he said.

The incident is being investigated.
