Boy, 4, drowns in Goa pool

A four-year-old boy drowned in a swimming pool at a resort in the coastal village of Candolim in Goa, police said.

The deceased Sambhav Talkar, a resident of Candolim itself, fell into the swimming pool of Casa Almeida, a guest house in the beach village of Candolim, 15 km from Panaji.

"The boy wandered from his home located near the resort and fell into the water on Thursday and drowned," police inspector Jivba Dalvi told reporters here.

The body has been sent for a post-mortem, the official said.
