Eid celebrated in Punjab, Haryana

Offering prayers at mosques, thousands of Muslims celebrated Eid festival in Punjab and Haryana on Friday.

In Punjab, the main celebrations took place in Sangrur and Gudaspur districts.

In Haryana, the Muslim population is largely concentrated in the districts of Mewat, Palwal, Mahendergarh and Gurgaon.

In Chandigarh, the joint capital of Punjab and Haryana, hundreds offered prayers at the main mosque, Jama Masjid, in Sector 20.
