Gold price closes down

The gold price in Hong Kong went down 5 HK dollars to close at 10,233 HK dollars per tael on Tuesday, according to the Chinese Gold and Silver Exchange Society.

The price is equivalent to $1,108.35 a troy ounce, down $0.54 at the latest exchange rate of $1 against 7.75 HK dollars, reported Xinhua news agency. One troy ounce is now defined as exactly 31.1034768 grams.
