Higher reaches of Uttarakhand receive snowfall

The higher reaches of Uttarakhand received fresh snowfall, the Met Department said on Sunday.

"Several high altitude areas received snowfall on Saturday night," Met Director Vikram Singh said.

Reports reaching here said Kedarnath, Badrinath and Auli in Garhwal region received snowfall.

Similarly, Munsiyari and other nearby areas in Kumaon region also saw snow.

Dehradun and the adjoining hill resort of Mussoorie received rainfall bringing down the temperatures.

It was sunny in Dehradun on Sunday following intermittent rain on Saturday night.

The Met said that light rain was likely to occur in certain areas of Uttarkhand in the next two days.
