Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Wednesday announced a cash award of Rs 10 lakh for Madhumita for winning the silver medal in Compound Women's Team category at 18th Asian games in Indonesia.
Madhumita Kumari along with her team mate Jyoti Surekha Venam and Muskan Kirar lost to South Koreans in the finals.
Jharkhand Chief Minister has announced Rs 10 lakh to Madhumita, "daughter of the state" a state government press release said.
The Indian team gave a tough fight to the overwhelming favourites before going down 228-231 in the final.
