Jharkhand police official battles Maoists, injured

A senior police official was on Tuesday injured in a gun battle with Maoists on the outskirts of the Jharkhand capital, police said.

Ranchi Senior Superintendent of Police Prabhat Kumar, who was injured in the gunfight, was rushed to a hospital, an official said.
