Mamata greets people on Ramadan

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday greeted the people on the Muslim holy month of Ramadan that begins on Thursday.

"The holy month of Ramazan is a special time for introspection and spiritual renewal. This month of fasting is rewarded at the end by the Holy Eid-Ul-Fitre.

"For this auspicious month, I extend my greetings to all my Muslim brothers and sisters. I share their piety and hope that all their Roza are accepted by the Almighty," she said on Twitter and Facebook.
