Man held with Rs.60 lakh hashish in Bengal

A 26-year-old man was Thursday arrested and hashish valued at over Rs.60 lakh was seized from him in northern West Bengal's Siliguri, a customs officer said.

Badal Tamang was nabbed from Panitanki near Siliguri, and six kg of hashish was seized from him, said Superintendent of Customs Dibas Gurung.

A resident of Delhi, Tamang has confessed to smuggling the drug from Nepal.
