Maoist killed, two arrested in Jharkhand
A Maoist guerrilla was killed in a gun battle on the outskirts of Ranchi Tuesday while two other rebels were arrested, police said.
According to police, the gun battle took place at Tupudana, around 20 Km from Ranchi.
According to police, the killed Maoist belonged to the People's Liberation Front of India (PLFI).
A pistol was recovered from the killed rebel.
Maoists are active in 18 of Jharkhand's 24 districts.
