Ukraine police has arrested a group of armed men on suspicion of plotting a terror act against a delegation from the Dutch government to probe MH17 disaster, a top security official said Tuesday.
The terror attack was planned against members of the delegation, who were due to visit the Malyshev arms plant in the eastern Ukrainian city of Kharkov, Xinhua quoted Valentin Nalivaichenko, the head of the Ukrainian Security Service, as telling reporters.
Earlier this year, international experts initially investigated remains and personal belongings of the victims of the MH17 disaster at the Malyshev arms plant in the government-controlled Kharkov city.
The Malaysia Airlines flight MH17, en route from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur, went down in eastern Ukraine July 17, killing all 298 on board, two-thirds of whom were Dutch.
On Sunday, a recovery operation on the crash site of MH17 was resumed after weeks of delay due to fierce fighting between Ukrainian forces and independence-seeking insurgents.
