Northeast fest to be held in Bengaluru

The first edition of Sammmant Eeshanya Utsava - celebrating north east with respect and equality, is set to begin here from November 21.

It is an initiative to bring focus to northeast India to an audience residing outside the region.

The two-day event will present the rich cultural heritage, music, dance and creative performances from the eight northeastern states -- Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura and Sikkim, read a statement.
