Sanjiv Goenka to chair IIT-Kharagpur's Board of Governors

Industrialist Sanjiv Goenka will chair IIT-Kharagpur's Board of Governors (BoG) for a second time, a statement said on Thursday.

President Pranab Mukherjee, a visitor of the institute, nominated the RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group chairman for the post for a period of three years, an Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) -Kharagpur release said.

Goenka had earlier served as chairman of BoG IIT-Kharagpur during 2002-2007.
