Three Maoists arrested in Ranchi

Three Maoist guerrillas were arrested with weapons here on Friday, police said.

The Maoists, belonging to the outlawed People's Liberation Front of India (PLFI), were arrested on the border of Ranchi and Khuti districts, Rural Superintendent of Police of Ranchi Ashutosh Shekhar told reporters.

He said the arrested Maoists included PLFI area commander Kuwar Oraon alias Jaynath. The others were Mangara Oraon and Tausif Anwar.

Police seized a 9 mm pistol, a country-made pistol four mobile phones and three motorcycles from the arrested Maoists.
