1,000 cusecs from Mettur released for Salem, Namakkal dists

: A total of 1000 cusecs was released today from Mettur dam to meet the drinking water needs of Salem and Namakkal districts, PWD officials said.

They said the water level in the dam stood at 51.66 feet against its full level of 120 feet. The inflow was 419 cusecs.
