1 dead, 1 injured in truck-van collision in Maha's Nashik

A person was killed and another injured Sunday evening after a pick-up van and truck collided and fell over 50 feet into a gorge in Maharashtra's Nashik district, police said.

The incident happened in Rahud ghat on the Mumbai-Agra Highway, around 75 kilometres from the district headquarters.

A Chadwad police station official identified the deceased as Bapu Kalu Nirbhavane (40), a local resident, and the injured as Mohammad Abdul Sayed (55) hailing from Bihar.
