The 12-hour bandh along National Highway-2 from Tseminyu sub-division to Wokha district called by two apex bodies of the areas today, passed off peacefully.
The bandh was called by Lotha Hoho Wokha and Rengma Hoho from 6 AM to 6 PM in the two sectors of Tseminyu and Wokha on National Highway-2, demanding early repair of the deplorable road condition along the stretch.
Lotha Hoho chairman Mhao Humtsoe said no untoward incident took place while vehicles preferred to remain off the road throughout the day.
He, however, cautioned that the two Hohos would intensify the agitation if the government failed to take any action in repairing the roads in the area.
