13-yr-old girl commits suicide in Punjab

A 13-year-old girl, daughter of migrant labourers from Bihar, allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself from a ceiling fan here today, police said.

Her parents were in Bihar when the incident took place.

For the last three-four days, the girl, who used to work as a domestic help, was staying with the family of a pesticide dealer, DSP (city) Kesar Singh said.

The girl's parents had been informed about the incident, Singh said, adding that investigations were underway.
