Two persons were arrested after which police today claimed to have busted a gang of robbers active in different parts of the national capital.
The arrested were Deen Mohammed and a minor boy. Police said the duo had allegedly robbed a man of around Rs 5.70 lakh in northwest Delhi's Bharat Nagar area on March 18.
According to police, the victim was on March 18 driving a car and had the cash in its trunk. The accused were in other car and intercepted the victim at a traffic signal near Satyawati College in Ashok Vihar and robbed him.
"We received a tip-off that Deen Mohammed and the teenager would come near a banquet hall near GT Road on March 20... Police laid a trap and apprehended the duo," said a senior police official, adding that the other members of the gang will soon be arrested.
