Two alleged smugglers were arrested today and about four kilograms of a banned herb recovered from their possession in Anantnag district of Kashmir Valley, police said.
Shabir Ahmad Awan, a resident of Nagdraman and Bashir Ahmad Goojar, a resident of Hallan area of the district, were arrested and four kgs of the precious forest produce 'Tripatri' was recovered from their possession, a police spokesman said.
He said police has registered a case under Forest Act and investigations against the arrested smugglers have begun.
