2 die of asphyxiation in Tamil Nadu

Two persons died of asphyxiation while cleaning a septic tank in a paper mill near Sattur here, police said today.

The incident took place at Nallichatthiram yesterday when the contract workers Tharu Kumar Boraria (20) of Bihar and Bharath Kumar Pandey (37) belonging to Uttar Pradesh, were cleaning the tank at the mill, they said.

While Boraria died after inhaling the poisonous gas last night, Pandey died in hospital today, police added.
