A court here today sentenced two men to life imprisonment for murdering a woman in 2007.
Additional District Judge Jothiraman sentenced Bhaskar and his friend Ravichandran to life imprisonment and also imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 each on them.
The Judge also sentenced Dhanalakshmi, the mother of Bhaskar, to three years rigorous imprisonment for pledging the jewelleries removed from body of the deceased.
According to prosecution, 35-year old Rajeswari was murdered on March 20, 2007 by Bhaskar with the help of his friends Ravichandran and Annadurai. Her body was dumped under a bridge after removing the jewelleries.
Annadurai died during the trial.
