2 killed, 6 injured in building collapse in Jaipur

Two persons were killed and six others got injured when a four-storey building collapsed in the Bhatta Basti area of the city today, while three more persons are feared trapped in the debris, police said.

Two persons were killed and six others were injured when a four-storey building collapsed early in the morning, SHO (Bhatta Basti) Rajesh Kumar said.

Three other persons are missing and feared trapped in the debris, SHO (Bhatta Basti) Rajesh Kumar said.

"A family from Bihar was residing in the building as tenants. Besides the family members, some of their relatives were also staying with them when the incident took place. It was not an old building," he said.
 

"One of the two deceased has been identified as Raju, aged around 30 years. Four injured are being treated at two hospitals whereas two were discharged after primary treatment," he said.

Rescue operations are on to pull out those trapped in the debris, he added.
