Two persons were today killed after a fire broke out at a petrol pump at Babudanga in Howrah district, West Bengal Fire and Emergency Services officials said.
The incident happened around 9.15 pm and the deceased were workers of the petrol pump, a West Bengal Fire and Emergency Services official said.
The identities of the deceased are yet be established, he said.

It appeared that they could not escape when the fire broke out and died of suffocation, the official said.
Four fire tenders were pressed into service and the fire was brought under control around 10.30 pm, the official said.
The cause of the fire could not be ascertained. The WB Fire and Emergency Services will conduct and investigation, the official said.
