Two persons were allegedly shot at in
two separate incidents, one in a dowry-related case and the other in a political rivalry case, police said today.
In the first incident, a man was allegedly shot at and injured by the in-laws of his daughter over dowry dispute in Bareilly, they said.

According to Sunil Kumar, his daughter, now married for five years and living in Bareilly, was being harassed by her in-laws who demanded a car in dowry, police said.
When Sunil, a resident of Aliganj here, recently went to her daughter's home where he was humiliated by her in-laws, including husband, and was shot at by them, they said.
Police have registered a case of attempt to murder in this case and also booked the family for demanding dowry and related laws.
No arrest has been made so far in the case, police said, adding probe is on.
Meanwhile, in another incident in Angadpur village of the district, one man was allegedly shot at by another person of the same village due to political rivalry, police said.
Ajgar Singh and Dhara Singh of the village had developed rivalry during the recently concluded Gram Pradhan elections.
Dhara Singh and his three associates allegedly thrashed Ajgar Singh and opened fire at him, they said, adding the victim is undergoing treatment at a hospital.
A case has been registered against the four for attempted murder under section 370 of the Indian Penal Code and further probe is underway, police said.
