22-year-old pregnant woman hanged by husband over dowry in UP

A 22-year-old pregnant woman was hanged to death allegedly by her husband on the instigation of her in-laws after she failed to meet their dowry demands in Rajpura area here, police said.

Rajmala was killed by her husband Guddu Yadav after she failed to give him the dowry amount in Lehraratu village here, they said.

An FIR has been lodged by the victim's father against four persons including Guddu, mother-in-law Munni Devi and two others, police said.

No arrests have been made so far been in this connection, they said, adding that the investigation is underway.
