Three men accused of murdering a youth in Kharindwa village here have been sent to two-day police remand today, police said.
A resident of Kharindwa, Pawan Kumar, lodged an FIR on Monday at the Shahabad police station against six men for allegedly assaulting his nephew, Gurmit Singh, with iron rods, Superintendent of Police (SP) Abhishek Garg said.
Singh was attacked by the accused over old rivalry at the Jalkheri-Kharindwa road, where he had gone for a walk, Kumar said in his complaint.
The accused fled after the attack and Singh died on the spot, the police said.
Three accused, Sonu, Bitto and Vikas were arrested on Tuesday night.
The SP said that the remaining three, Sandeep, Joginder and Sanjiv would also be arrested soon.
