Three persons who were allegedly demanding money from truck drivers impersonating as the officials from the state Transport Department were arrested today from the Kud town in the district, police said.
"Rattandeep Singh, Amarjeet Singh and Vijay Singh were arrested for impersonating as the Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) and his staff members, and demanding money from truck drivers on the Jammu-Srinagar national highway," a police official said.
The impersonators were arrested from the spot after getting information, he said, adding the three were booked for fraud and cheating.
