All India Institute Of Medical Science (AIIMS) today added 31 new generic medicines in its list of those for free distribution among patients.
In a letter to consultants and doctors, the administration said, "In addition to earlier list of medicines, 31 new generic medicines have been included for free distribution to the OPD (out-patient department) patients."
"All doctors in AIIMS are hereby advised to prescribe the new medicines in addition to the earlier list circulated. It is once again requested to prescribe generic medicines only as far as possible, as per the MCI direction," the letter added.
