36 students taken ill after drinking water in school

As many as 36 students were taken ill today after drinking contaminated water from a hand pump in the premises of a government school at Phakrabad village in Kaimur district, official sources said.

The victims, students of a primary government school, were taken to the Sadar hospital where their condition was stated to be out of danger, the sources said.

An investigation has been ordered into the incident, they said.

District Magistrate Arvind Kumar Singh visited the school and the hospital to enquire about the incident, they added.
